Flowers for Her Hair
As a young girl…
She would weave daises into garlands
Garlands for her hair
Dancing in the summer sun…
Raven hair flowing past her waist
White daisies for her crown
A play on sunlight and shadows
When first we met…
She wore flowers in her hair
A free spirit…
That attracted me
When we wed…
She wore flowers in her hair
A garland of Baby’s Breathe and
Tea Cup Roses
all white
woven with a ribbon of Pearls
I loved her than…
I love her more now…
Tomorrow she will wear
flowers in her hair…
Hair now silver…
As I lay her to rest
A Garland
of Baby’s Breath and
Tea Cup Roses…
For her crown
All white…woven with
Ribbons of Pearl
