Holidays!
It’s that time of year again The season turns and we are smack in the middle of our series of Holidays! I love the Holiday season… The crispness of the air At times … down-right cold The hustle and bustle People making plans and Shopping I love the Holiday season… Lots of wonderful food The continuous smell of Cinnamon everywhere I go Childhood memories return Traditions… Cranberry jelly from a can Served on a cut glass tray cut along the ridges created by metal Brown -N- Serve rolls only bought this time of year Mom’s cornbread dressing… My grandmother’s fruit salad… I love the Holiday season… But… Time goes by Holidays are for children and families Watching from a distance… Now… Holidays are no longer for Me © 2013 Annie Original PoetryAlways…I wish you peace, joy and happiness, but most of all I wish you Love.
As Ever, Annie
