Beach Day…
Smiling…
She knotted her tote bag
and casually draped it
over her shoulder
What a beautiful morning!
Finally a clear blue sky
Infectious with the sun
she turned her face to
soak up warmth
and sunbeams
Once outside…
A quick walk to
her favorite beach
white sand…
blue water…
breaking waves…
And…
peace…
Waking from an
unplanned nap…
The dream lingers
like his brandy
kisses on her lips
Smiling…
she runs into
the crashing waves…

Nice to capture a beach lover’s experience.

It has been so cold, wet, dark & dreary … I had to have a little beach dream 🙂

A beach day is always a good day. A poem about my favorite place. Especially when we are snow-in Michigan.

Oh … don’t know how you do it … wrote that on a grey, cold wet day here in Texas … had to get the head in a different place!

I would take a wet Texas day today. Road are iced up and we are locked in the house.

I was station six years at Fort Hood. Wasn’t so bad there.

Worked for KISD for 20 years … the last 10 or so we have had major ice storms … drove in every day from 75 miles north.
