Her Confession
She had been down
that road before and
from the beginning
this time kept
telling herself,..
“This will not end well.”
And…
She was right
yet again…
Promises broken…
Trust gone…
Soul destroyed…
Heart – what was left
of it – ripped to shreds
He seemed different…
At first —
A gentleman…
Well educated…
Excellent conversationalist…
Shared interests…
Six months apart in age…
Caring — or so he said…
But…
In reality
Totally self-centered…
Insincere…
With an ego that
just could not stay
out of the way…
So…
She was right…
IT
NOT
DID
END
WELL …
