Moon Lace
Looking through backyard
trees the full Moon
creates patterns everywhere
I notice a lacy leaf on the walk
a leaf that appears too real
to be a shadow
yet it is…
The golden Moon glowing
through the skeleton of
a lone leaf creates a
beautiful reflection of
life…
love..
hopes…
and
dreams…
The lacy remains of
a life…
a love…
my soul…
as I stand there under
a full Autumn Moon
reflecting on what was…
what was not…
and
what never will be…
Like the missing
pieces of myself
the Moon Lace
represents what
is left of me …
