I am unsure …
Time is not
on my side
I stand outside
waiting for
something…
anything…
But …
The past has
not been kind
My life…
My heart…
My soul…
My everything…
Is fragile
I cannot go
through more
hurt…
pain…
disappointment…
I want to trust again
But …
I cannot
If I let you in
there are no
guarantees things
will not turn out
the same
No guarantees
I will not be
broken again
There are so few
pieces of me left
intact …
I just cannot
open that door …
