Outside My Window …
Early spring morning watching the fog
melt away to the dawn I wonder what
is in store today …
This my time …
The time of day to be a bit
Pensive …
Reflexive …
And …
Make plans … that always
change in the blink of an eye …
But …
That is my option …
my choice …
my life …
going with the flow
knowing that if it
doesn’t happen today
there is always tomorrow
I continue to remember
the following Mary Oliver quote …
“…to learn something by
being nothing …”
I don’t think of myself as
‘nothing’ but the nothing
is a quiet observation that
opens not only my eyes
but my mind and my senses
When the fog lifts and the
mist has burned away will
be my time in nature …
my time to fuss over my
small garden
and be surprised with
new sprouts and newly
appearing veggies from
the day before
And …
Content with my life
I smile …

They call that living in the moment. What else can you do? If you don’t get enjoyment from those moments, you have nothing. Not back where you started with the quote…far less. Not even a Seinfeld nothing….
