Not All …
The older I become
the more I want to
turn back time
Have a ‘do-over’
in my life
I always did what
others expected of me
Not wanting to upset
or disappoint anyone
In true Libra fashion …
my goal was to keep
everyone balanced
and happy if possible
at times at my own expense
However …
that result left me wanting
more from life
regretting missed experiences
deciding to do what I
thought was the ‘right thing’
rather than my thing at the time
Some tell me it is never too late
to follow my dreams and chase
those wants, needs, and desires
Perhaps …
But I am not longer sure where
it was I wanted to wander …

Understand, Annie. Of course, we get no “mulligans” in our lives, but the desire is likely widespread. I side with those who say it’s never too late, though, from my experience, it isn’t easy….but still worth it if happiness can’t be found any other way. Happiness is not negotiable.
