Universe Shifting

Source: We Heart It

Planets realign

Stars change positions

The Heavens prepare

For the coming Winter

 

Still a few weeks away

Yet…

The shifts are being felt

Mercury turned … but

life is still off kilter

 

Tempers flare … to quick

Emotions are on edge

Change is afoot

And…

My skin crawls

with energy

 

Only the Universe knows

what is really coming…

A Deep Breath

A Side-long Glance

Courage…

 

Or…

 

Folly…

 

Do I dare?

 

In the end

my shyness

takes over

 

Then…

 

With another

quick glance

I turn

And…

Walk Away…

The Day…

Today…

Began like so many others…

 

Late September

Crisp air

Clear skies

A blush on the

Eastern Horizon

 

But…

 

Today is unlike

any other

In that it will 

never happen again

 

Once it is gone

It’s over…

And…

Only a piece 

of History

 

Perhaps it will

be remembered fondly…

Perhaps forgotten

Completely…

Outside…

An early morning storm

is raging

 

Inside…

my head…

my heart…

an internal storm

is building

 

Thunder rolls…

And…

Lightning crackles

Ozone in the air

 

Hair on m arms

stands on end as 

my response

As I wait…

Begging for  the

Storm to Break

 

The Earth

and I

Both need

Release…

Good Things

Mama always said,

“Good things come to

Her wisdom has 

always led me in

the right direction…

Waiting isn’t easy

Hope

Changes are coming…

Letting go…

Hope is around

the corner

And…

Life is looking up

 

Sighing…

Not knowing what

to expect…

when…

But…

Waiting for something

New…

Different…

 

Right now 

I am standing

on the up side

of Down…

 

Watching…

Waiting…

Hoping…

To be

Magnolia Night

Early Summer night

Soft breezes

Gentle scent of

Magnolias in the air

 

Moon hanging low

Floating in a

Milky Way mist

 

Strolling alone…

She is searching…

Always searching…

 

Never sure what 

she is looking for

Yet..

In her heart 

she will know when

it finds her

 

Could this be the time…

The time and place…

Her time and place…

 

Following the scent

 of Magnolias

She released herself

to the Night…

Courtyard…Royal Street

The sign led me in

with wonder and

curiosity…

PALM READING

it said

 

The magic of the

French Quarter at

every turn and

my plan was to

experience all

of it at once

 

The man appeared 

from nowhere

inviting me in

with…

“You need your

palm read,” he said.

 

I was hooked when

he asked me to

remove my rings

and took both my

hands in his own

 

Gently he looked

at them and 

finally said…

“Your right hand.”

“All of your energy

is flowing there.”

 

Tracing my hand

in his book

he began to tell

my life story

Past…

Present…

Future…

as he made 

occasional notes

next to my tracing

 

Twenty years later…

Katrina’s devastation…

I hope his is still

there in his courtyard

Reading Palms…

The new Norm…

 

No expectations

any more

 

If something 

happens by chance

 

Then…

the cynic in  me

will be surprised

 

After all this time…

why should I expect

More…

 

Always an afterthought

if not outright

Ignored…
