The Universe
Once that door opened
When I saw the possibilities
I knew the time was now
No more holding on…
holding back…
pretending to be someone
I could never be…
I saw my future
The possibilities awaiting
No lies…
No manipulation…
No ego getting in the way…
The stars called my name
Begging me to follow
Challenging me to
take that one chance…
All I had to do was …
Just open the door
Walk away
And become
one with the stars …

Annie's Muse
Poetry
Beginnings, Forgotten, New, Past

Source: Unknown
Starting over
Never looking back
The past is the past
and nothing more
People…
Places…
Things…
All forgotten
All unnecessary
The only thing
that matters now
is New Beginnings
and looking forward
to what life has
to offer …

Annie's Muse
Poetry
Beginnings, Freshness, Memories, Rain, Renewal

Source: We Heart It
Rain…
The smell of rain
That scent of freshness
filling the air
as the world weeps
brings back memories
Good…
Bad…
But either way
a sense
of renewal…
of new beginnings…
of starting over…
Fresh…
Clean…
New…

Moving Forward
Riding on a
river of tears
I am taken to
new places…
new worlds…
new experiences…
Washing away the
past and the pain
Freedom….
Moving forward
Never looking back
Life goes on…

Annie's Muse
Poetry
Beginnings, Change, Heart, life, Love, Memories, New, Pain, Time

Change…
Just as the seasons
change so do our hearts
They can close down
to everything…
to everyone…
hardened like steel
refusing to break
But…
Just when it seems
all hope is gone
And…
The heart will
never find peace again…
never feel love again…
never give love again…
The sun breaks through
leading the way to
A…
New Beginning

New Beginnings…
After the Rain…
All my tears are gone
After the Rain…
Pain~
Washed clean
After the Rain…
The sun broke through
After the Rain…
Rainbow’s End
After the Rain…

New Day
Looking forward
My eyes on
the Future
Leaving the
Past Behind
Clean mind…
Open Heart…
Settled Soul
A New
Beginning…
A New Day…

Dance With Me
Dance with me
she said
I’m drunk he
replied
Yet…
She snuggled
into his arms
and nestled under
his chin
Safe…
Secure…
Desperation…
He held her close
closed his eyes
and breathed
in her youthfulness
Remembered…
Wanted…
Finally —
Let go…
Looking back on
that day she still
wonders what
happened
to the man
who in dancing
gave them
new life…
