Blind Love

Source: We Heart It

You broke her

Heart

But…

not her Spirit

 

Blind love makes

it so easy to follow

to trust —

every action…

every word…

unconditionally

 

Until…

Eyes are

opened…

hearts are hardened…

And…

Love is 

no longer 

Alive…

I often receive comments about the personal nature of my poetry.  Not everything I write comes from a personal experience.  Today’s poem was inspired by a phrase I heard while watching an early morning movie.  But, that phrase spoke to me and my past experiences.
