New Day…

Source: We Heart It

Neighborhood rooster crowing

Looking for the Sun

 

Dogs barking in response

trying to scare away

the darkness…

the shadows…

of the night

 

Sneaking out for my

Early walk…

My communion with

the New Day

 

Yet…

 

Not caring that I

allow the screen door 

to do what screen

doors do best…

Make that unmistakable

twang as the spring

stretches open

 

And…

 

That comforting sound…

that slap…

of wood on wood as

the spring bounces back

into place and the door

slams shut…

Fog ~

Source: We Heart It

The fog came

at sunrise

Shrouding the world

in its cloak of grey…

a comforting mist

settling around the

trees and along

the ground

 

Clouds you can

reach out and touch

Yet…

They slip through

your fingers like

the finest silk

 

Comforting…

Enclosing the world

in a soft blanket

until sun-kissed

the fog rises

revealing jewels

left behind

Sparkling in the

Early Morning sun

 

Jewels of Mist

riches to behold

as we begin

our day
