GOODBYE

“Goodbye,” she said

It has been – interesting

But …

The time has come

Leaving is difficult

Death is permanent

I  must go …

To find myself …

Staying will only lead to

Death …

Maybe mine …

Perhaps yours…

Death is not

My style

Not my future

The choice made

Again…

My illusion of 

safety and security

has been shattered

 

My world turned

upside down

My heart…

My soul…

In flames

 

From kindness

and caring

To…

Unbelievable

cruelty in

a heartbeat

 

Sitting at the

table of bitterness

There is that oh

so familiar taste

of goodbye 

placed upon

my Tongue

Last Goodbye

He took nothing

Everything was still

in its place

No indication

he would

never return

 

A hug and a

goodbye kiss

before he boarded

 

Little did I

know that

this was

Forever…

Footprints in the Snow

Watching as he

Walked away

She reaches up to

wave goodbye

A goodbye he

will never see

 

She feels the

freezing rain

suddenly turn

to snow

 

And…

 

An icy blast

grips her

Soul
