HOPE

And so it begins

The first day of a

new year

The first day we

either face HOPE

or FEAR

No one knows

which the new year

will bring …

We have to roll

with the punches

and …

if at all possible

turn any FEAR

into our own

HOPE

and go on from there

Looking Toward Home

After years of traveling

bouncing from here to there

the time had come to find

my way home

That was a scary decision

to be settled…

in one place … stable

after years of wandering

Returning to your

childhood home can

either be a blessing

or a curse

Especially when that

home is small…

rural…

that place when you

got in trouble at

school the neighborhood

grapevine told your mom

No need for a call from

school letting her know

Was I ready ….

no willing to live

there again where

everyone knows

everyone and their

business as well

No turning back

the decision made

the move planned

now …

there is only

HOPE

for the future …

Footprints

The empty silence of…
our lives…
our minds…
our souls…

Cause us to hold fast
to hope…
to the future…

to the possibilities
of change…
of something new…
of something positive…

Gazing down…
Looking from afar
I see footprints
leading to
The Future…

Hope

Changes are coming…
Letting go…
Hope is around
the corner
And…
Life is looking up

Sighing…
Not knowing what
to expect…
when…
But…
Waiting for something
New…
Different…

Right now
I am standing
on the up side
of Down…

Watching…
Waiting…
Hoping…
To be
Found…

Waiting

Always waiting
The new Norm…

No expectations
any more

If something
happens by chance

Then…
the cynic in  me
will be surprised

After all this time…
why should I expect
More…

Always an afterthought
if not outright
Ignored…

Giving…Receiving

A new day
Dawning…

Change is
afoot

Yet…

I move
forward
Cautiously…

Never wanting to
take a wrong step
Not to
Offend…
Or —
Ruin progress
Achieved

Baby steps…
I am open…
learning…
Giving…
And–
Receiving

Trust

Trusting is becoming
more and more
difficult

I want to…
But my trust
has been broken
over and over and over

Each day I wonder…
is this when
Trust will return…
When I can once again
find the faith…
To go on and have
my belief in humanity
again be a part
of my life.

Impossible Light

After days of

darkness…

fear…

uncertainty…

A glimmer of light

A new day dawns…

with hope…

anticipation…

new possibilities…

Her heart swells

as she walks into

the Impossible Light

Today’s Quote:

I loved words. I love to sing them and speak them and even now,

I must admit, I have fallen into the joy of writing them.
