Nothing …

I tried repeatedly to tell you how I felt

I needed you to understand what was

happening in my life

What I was going through

And …

Why I was not myself

 

As usual

You were only concerned with

yourself and what you thought

was important in your life and

continually ignored my pain

My need to talk to you

My need to tell you everything

in hopes you would understand

went unnoticed

brushed off as unimportant

 

Your actions and your words

made me feel even more

like what I was experiencing

was …

Nothing Important …

… and Then There Was None – Day 24 April PAD

… and Then There Was None

 

Oh… the absolute

horror as we watched

the event of 9/11

unfold before our

eyes on TV

 

Who could have

done this horrible

thing…

the senseless act…

the unimaginable…

 

As we watched the

towers attacked…

the planes flying

into them with

callous disregard

of life on land

and in the air

 

There were more

questions than

answers that day

…as there are

even to this day

 

We had been

attacked

Our trust breached

Innocents lost

And…

Before the day

was over where

the Twin Towers

stood was…

NOTHING…

nothing but death

and devastation

and tremendous

loss…

Loss of life…

Loss of security…

Loss of trust…

 

And then…

There was NONE…

I used to wear

my heart on

I am out of love

Nothing left to give

My heart is only a

Can the shattered

pieces turn to dust?

 

Lost…

Numb…

The emptiness

becomes deeper…

Stronger…

 

Leaving her feeling

Nothing …

All dashed

and broken

I can no longer

Believe in anything

Can no longer

think anything 

good…

positive…

will happen 

in my life

 

I continually 

expect the

worst…

negative…

Should something

positive happen

I am completely

The Nothing

In life…

there is nothing

 

But…

 

There is nothing

that only exists

in our minds

 

And…

 

The nothing that is…

The nothing that 

is always there…

Hiding in the shadows…

Creeping around corners…

Dissolving into dark recesses…

 

We know that nothing

well because to us

it is real…

it is there…

it is pain…

this time

Shattered…

Nothing left

to pick up

corner to call

Worthless…

into your sad and

troubling state

of mind

 

Tear me down…

Meaningless coming

from the likes of you

 

Tear down my friends…

The same friends you

suck up to daily

 

But…

 

Will stab in the back

at the drop of a hat in

order to push your

own agenda of

hate…

racism…

bigotry…

 

You are NOTHING

A NOBODY

A WORTHLESS

piece of humanity

 

Now …

with that said …

You have been 

eliminated from 

my existence
