What we have shared…

Been through…

And…

Now —

You treat me like

someone you

don’t even know

Her Confession – Day 13 April PAD

Her Confession

She had been down

that road before and

from the beginning

this time kept

telling herself,..

“This will not end well.”

And…

She was right

yet again…

Promises broken…

Trust gone…

Soul destroyed…

Heart – what was left

of it – ripped to shreds

He seemed different…

At first —

A gentleman…

Well educated…

Excellent conversationalist…

Shared interests…

Six months apart in age…

Caring — or so he said…

But…

In reality

Totally self-centered…

Insincere…

With an ego that

just could not stay

out of the way…

So…

She was right…

IT

NOT

DID

END

WELL …

Deception

Beautiful blue sunny

skies

Yet…

So deceptive

 

Rather than a warm

day it is bitter cold

 

Deception…

 

Like life

Nothing is

as it seems…

as it should be…

as we want…

 

Deception…

 

Do we accept

and move on

 

Or…

 

Do we look for

a way to work

around everything

 

And…

 

Hope to make

Life better

 

Only time

will tell

Game Change…

I will

in summer

And…

before Christmas

had moved on

 

There have been

many others since then

And…

Most likely were

many before me

 

The words

loyalty…

faithful…

And

Commitment

are unknown

to you

 

Because…

 

I see once again

there is another

new Conquest …

Different

Secrets will be

Revealed

Trust will be

the Norm

Not…

the hoped for

 

Someday…

You and I

will not hide

from each other

 

Someday…

will not ignore

what we feel

 

But…

friendship openly

Repeat…

I have been down

this road before

 

Vowed to never

travel it again

 

Yet…

 

Life has a way

of being cunning

sneaking up on you

taking you back

into the old habits

bad habits

 

Repeat…

 

This time without

the hurt…

the shame…

the pain…

the rage of emotion…

 

I have turned away with

No words…

No explanations…

Not really caring anymore

 

Reality ~

 

I have gone unnoticed

So…

This is the right move

The only move

I release it all…

of the unnecessary

of excess baggage

 

Trust…

Loyalty…

Turning off the lights

Closing the door
