My Cat, the Diva — Day 20 April PAD

My Cat, the Diva

The runt of her litter

and the only female

a darling little white

thing with a grey face,

head and ears above

a delicate pink shell

of a nose

her matching grey tail

extending from one

of several grey spots

along her back

four tiny white feet

creates a dainty

little girl

 

No other name

but DIVA

could describe

my lively girl

who holds her

own with the boys…

This morning…

the walls are 

bare again

 

Stark white

a blank canvas

 

Each painting…

Every picture

All the prints

save one from a

lone London artist

have been stored

 

Their sight too painful

Too many memories

 

They remain in the

dark hidden recesses

Until…

My heart no longer

Cares…
