Texas Weather

Day 19: Writer’s Digest April 2016 PAD

How are we already just one day away from the big 2-0 for the month? Where does the time go? Hope everyone’s having as productive a month as I am.

For today’s prompt, take on one (or both) of the following prompts:

Write a cool poem. Or…
Write a uncool poem.

Texas Weather

The old saying about Texas

and weather is …

“If you don’t like the weather

just wait … it will change shortly.”

There have been days when we

experienced all four seasons

in a 24 hour period going

from boiling hot to snow

Hot to cold

It is never uninteresting

The past few years have

been two season years

Hot/warm …

and …

Cool … not even cold

For us it is either

Drought or floods

with no happy medium

We have the same saying here on the North Coast, but your extremes truly are.
