Writer’s Digest April 2016 Poem A Day Challenge – PAD

April 30, 2016 Writer’s Digest Poem A Day Challenge

I did it … I just posted poem 30 and completed the challenge for 2016! This challenge has gotten me back into my writing a poem every day that was what started this website almost three years ago … and I will continue posting in my blog section every day.

I will walk away from these poems for a week or so, then read again, possibly edit them and hope to compile them into a chapbook to publish. That shows my dedication to writing and commitment to stay on my personal writing journey!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have taken the Writer’s Digest annual April Poem A Day challenge. This is where I will post each day’s response to the April 2016 PAD prompts.
    Congratulations, Annie. I managed to finish, too, though I kinda choked on the haiku prompt. Guess my rebel roots were showing. LOL
      But you made the attempt … that is the main thing … we all have our favorite genre!
        Yep…I think my longer freestyle poems are more like short stories without all the “filler” words and adjectives. So it goes. They come out freely, or not at all.
        In the style of Ramond Carver, Mary Oliver … even Kellie Elmore … prose poetry that does tell as story … my favorite way to write
