Disillusioned

What started out to be

something promising…

fun…

interesting…

exciting…

has crumbled into

a heap of rubble

surrounding my

soul

People are never who

they say they are when

first we meet and

As time goes by

eyes are opened

truths are discovered

tension becomes the norm

By this point life becomes

stressed…

uncomfortable…

slightly off-kilter…

And unfortunately at times

Manipulative…

Distrustful…

Life is one big seething

pool of cynicism

A daily dance to the tune of

Disillusion …
