Solitude
Much of my life has
been spent being alone
But …
Rarely lonely
Some people and I am one
need a time of solitude of
being alone … one on one
with nature to be able to
recharge…
create…
unwind…
find ourselves …
Relish and enjoy those
periods of solitude
You will most likely find
something you are not
looking for
Yet …
Something that will bring
you much joy
enrich your life in ways
you never expected
If you rarely have
personal solitude
begin carving out little
snippets of time just
for you and experience
the wonder of you …
I will be life changing …

The opposite, being with someone yet still lonely, is a horror most can’t conceive of, but nonetheless real. Being alone is far preferable.

We undervalue ourselves when we cling desperately to the feeling we are incomplete without someone else. The right someone else is unquestionably a way to add spice to life, but not worthwhile if only done to avoid being alone.
