REFRESH…

There are times like today

when I look around me

a know that my life

needs to be REFRESHED …

 

People need a series of

buttons to access in

times of need …

*Refresh

*Reboot

*Delete

 

These would make things

so much easier

uncomplicate the complicated

give us a new start when

 

life cannot go down that

road to total destruction

 

REFRESH …

And …

Go on …

Conceal

Source: We Heart It

That word …

Conceal

We all do it every day

We do it consciously

We do it unconsciously

But …

We hide the bits and pieces

of our lives

parts of…

who we are

who we are NOT

Until we no longer have

any idea who we really are

 

In this hiding lies begin

and…

we forget who we told what

who knows what about us

what promises we made

and…

what promises were broken

 

In Concealing our life

we lose ourselves…

we lose our identity…

we lose our souls…

we lose everything…

we live in pain and confusion

of our own creation

 

Come into the light

into the truth

stop hiding from yourself

stop hiding from others

be free …

Looking Inward

When I lost me …

Lost my soul …

Lost everything in  my life

Nothing and no one could help

No one understood

No one really cared

 

After much personal

evaluation and a determined spirit

I realized what I already knew

No one could HELP ME

but ME

 

What I needed all along

was inside me

restored me

And …

gave me the strength

and confidence to

do what had to be done …

Nerve

I have gone through

life with a feeling of

hesitation …

 

Never feeling good enough

Never fitting in

Concerned about what

others think of me

 

Not wanting to have

others look down on

me because I disappointed

them or upset them

 

For me, it was never

having the NERVE

to be who I really

wanted to be …

follow my own desires

and wishes without

caring what other thought

 

Too late in life, I have

now realized that it

doesn’t matter what

others think about me

What does matter

is what I want, desire,

care enough to do

in my life …

Getting that NERVE

now … at this point

in my life will allow me to

step into the open

abyss of life and know

that I can do and be

anything or anyone

I choose …

Too Much

I have always been

the one to wear my

heart on my sleeve

The one who

cared too much…

loved too much…

became involved

more than others

in my life

 

I have tried over

and over again not

to care…

to love…

to become involved…

but it seems my

nature to do so

 

I want to go

back in time

And

be the hard one…

the cold one…

the one who does

the hurting not

the one being hurt

 

My life would have

taken so many

different turns

so many different

paths

Maybe leading

to ultimate loneliness

But …

Keeping me from

being used…

being broken…

being ignored…

being an after thought

 

I would be a

different person

had I not given so

much more than

I ever received…

Better …

Worse …

Who knows …

It would be wonderful

if we could turn back

time and start over

knowing then what

we know now and having

the luxury of doing every

thing right this time around

 

What if …

We met again and had

different ground rules

Sharing expectations

and sticking by both

No hidden agendas…

No lies…

No doubts…

Open …

Honest …

Communication

The only key to

keeping things real

and no one

getting hurt because

egos got in the way

 

What if …

Loyalty was honored

and trust was

the priority

 

What if …

You let me be me

Honored and

respected me

as I have always

done for you

 

What if …

things could be

different now …

Can You …

Into the darkness

Your silence is

Deafening …

What is not said

speaks volumes

and words I

don’t want to

hear

 

My broken heart

is silent …

You never take the

time to listen to

what it is saying …

It screams and

you are deafened

to the noise

 

Over time …

Caring no longer

exists …

Hope is an illusion

And …

Words and

Promises mean

nothing …
